About

In 2019 I qualified as a Personal Trainer. I started my business â€˜Love To Move’ to enable me to help and support people to achieve their own personal goals for health and exercise.

My life has involved many careers; as a business owner- hairdressing, with international companies managing multi-million dollar businesses with large staff, to working alongside a small business owner and within the corporate world including its many challenges and dynamics.

Personally, I have experienced the highs and lows of family, having children and grandchildren encompassing the exciting moments along with the challenging times. I have an amazingly supportive husband, two incredible adult children, a grandchild with another on the way and of course all the extended family.

Life has a way of showing us where we should be and how we can make a difference personally but also for others. I have had my fair share of ups and downs in life however with my positive outgoing attitude have always forged through the tough times.

In 2014, after losing both my parents within 5 months of each other, I realised that this was going to be the biggest turning point of my life. Whilst they appeared reasonably fit and active, walking a lot and holidaying regularly, they were not immune to the onset of those diseases that we are all vulnerable to as we age.

I set about making some changes personally, having become quite overweight and feeling pretty down on myself, I needed to. I joined the gym and attended regularly and quickly discovered how this regular exercise helped not just my body but my mind as well. The next phase was making some sustainable changes to my diet – no more nasties in our grocery trolley.

12 months later i joined a running group. This was more to meet new people, however it has evolved much further than just a social exercise group. I set myself a challenge to complete a half marathon, having now completed five half marathons and numerous smaller events, with more in the plan. You can do anything if you put your mind to it!

This is when I decided that if I can do this then maybe I can help others to also make changes to their lives in order for them to sustain a quality of life they deserve and desire for longer.

My passion is now about helping people to change their lives one small step at a time, like a client who has worked with me for a few months who went home and said to his wife – ‘ I can touch my toes!’ It might not seem like much but this one small achievement has provided him with confidence, improved flexibility, stronger muscles and a massive sense of achievement. These small achievements are the turning point to help provide my clients with the confidence to continue setting sustainable goals and change their lives for the better.

Getting started can be the toughest step; I would love to help and support you to take the first step of the rest of your life!
